Trattoria Gusto

  Liszt Ferenc tér 11.      (+36-1) 336 4701     more than a year ago
This is not a bad Italian restaurant per se, not by any stretch of the imagination so in a way it's not particularly fair to single it out for criticism, it's just that in vital respects Trattoria Gusto embodies everything that's wrong with the new Liszt Ferenc tér dining ethos. For starters their cheapest bottle of wine is over 4000 HUF. And whilst dishes are decently prepared and presented, portions are not particularly generous, such as a 4500 HUF antipasta which comes with one or two sundried tomatoes, and a mere smidgeon of olives. The waiting staff, whilst not impolite, are importuning and trying to upsell you from the instant they invite you to sit down to your last espresso. But you could do worse.
