Varna is in the enviable position of having easy access to some of the best beaches in Bulgaria including some rather large and fancy resorts, with large hotels and pools and all inclusive packages. Golden Sands is definitely a step up from the 'rowdies' of Sunny Beach but it still sees its fair share of drunken package tourists.
