We’re staging a rock opera based on Jesus Christ Superstar, a famous contemporary musical work which after its Broadway debut in 1971, has been seen by over five million viewers. The story is loosely based on the last seven days of Jesus Christ’s life with a main focus on the relationship and interpersonal struggle between Jesus and Judas Iscariot. The musical includes ironic allusions to modern society, political connotations and purposeful anachronisms.
