Banja Luka has a long and proud tradition of animation, so it is only fair that a major international animation festival takes place here. The festival began in 1971 and was the first of its kind in Yugoslavia, and while it has changed over the years it has remained focused in its love for all things animated. The 2019 edition takes place at the end of October and will feature many great modern feats of animation, from movies to commercials via everything in between.
