The impressive Beechwood Gardens boasts a water garden, colonnade, a formal rose garden and an exquisite walled kitchen garden. The gardens were laid out in 1945 by legendary landscape architect Joane Pim, a founder member of the Institute of Landscape Architects of South Africa, and are among the most beautiful private gardens in the city.

During the regular Beechwood Market events which pop up every season the gates of this wonderful space are opened to the public. Wander through the beautiful landscape, grab a bite to eat from one of the artisanal food stands and browse the boutique stalls offering everything from swimwear to doggie accessories, jewellery, clothing and homeware design pieces.
