Armagh's Spring Events

01 Apr 2019
Co Armagh is renowned as the Orchard County, with around 90% of all Bramley apples grown here. And the delicious orb is celebrated with the annual Apple Blossom Festival which this year runs from Fri 10 - Sun 12 May

Long Meadow Cider Company is offering Orchard Tours where you can sample the produce and unleash your creativity with Art in the Orchard and a Flower Installation workshop. Home to Co Armagh's original Bramley Apple producer, Crannagael House is also offering a Bramley Beginnings tour.

Dan Winters Cottage will be producing tempting apple puddings with their Blossom to Griddle event, while Apple Blossom Sundays at National Trust property Ardress House will celebrate the blossom season with orchard activities and tastes.

Beyond the Blossom, Banbridge's F.E. McWilliam Gallery is hosting the exhibition Locky Morris: once a day every day all day long focusing on the Northern Irish artist’s work since 2010. Morris is a master at finding beauty in daily life and has created unexpected and often humorous art from his every day experiences. Admission is free and the exhibition continues until Sat 18 May.

And with the 75th anniversary of the D Day landings, Brownlow House in Lurgan is home to an interactive WW2 exhibition. As the HQ during this period, the location hosted a large US Army contingent, with many secret operations planned there. Admission to the exhibition is also free. For further info on all activities and offers click www.visitarmagh.com.
