This special Wedding Dress Festival features dresses associated with clergy who have Cathedral connections - past and present. Accompanied by their fascinating stories will be wedding dresses through the decades from Victorian times to present day.

You will be invited into the bride’s home to view the chaos, then make your way to the winter wedding before arriving for a sneak view of the wedding breakfast room! And on Sat 23 & Sat 30 June at 12:30 everyone is invited to a ‘wedding’ in the Cathedral.

The bride will leave her home in the Deanery and make her way to the Cathedral preceded by fifty little girls in their best frocks or flowergirl dresses. Parents or grannies will be resplendent in their ‘worn only once’ beautiful outfit getting an 'airing' from the back of the wardrobe. Then the Cathedral choir and musicians will be there to provide wonderful wedding music.

With a display of Vintage Cars on both Saturdays, too, this is definitely a date for the diary!
