As part of nationwide celebrations to mark 500 years since the Reformation, the Deutsches Historisches Museum takes - for the first time - a look at the history of the worldwide impact of Protestantism from its origins in Germany to its development across four different continents. The exhibition deals with the global diversity and manifestations of Protestantism in Germany, Sweden, North America, Korea and Tanzania, but also examines its potential for conflict between different cultures and religions. The museum brings together outstanding objects from national and international lenders, many of which have never before been displayed in Germany. Numerous educational programmes and parallel events accompany the exhibition. A short yet informative guide and a richly illustrated catalogue with separate English and German editions provide information on the exhibition.
