Water taps

more than a year ago
Dutch tap water is some of the best the world has to offer so it's safe (and tasty) to drink the water pretty much anywhere and you don't have to waste money on the expensive bottled stuff. In fact, Utrecht is the fifth city in the Netherlands to have installed a public water tap. This is part of an international initiative to encourage people to stop buying disposable water bottles. The idea is very simple. Plenty of water taps will be available to the public so you can just fill your empty bottle whenever you need to. The mountain of plastic mineral water bottles will be somewhat reduced, or at least won't grow so quickly, and for every tap that's set up in Holland, one will be erected in a developing nation. We only wish their were a similar initiative for beer taps.
