Best Nature Parks in Andorra

more than a year ago
Andorra is a place of epic beauty and impressive high-mountain landscape. The country has a few fantastic natural parks with well-preserved flora and fauna, some of which are even included in the Unesco world heritage locations. Those parks are wild enough, but also don’t lack the set of facilities every visitor needs – some good places to eat, some children playgrounds and organized activities, some convenient means of transportation to and from the place.

Valle del Sorteny

This natural park is mostly known for its wide variety of species – both of the flora and the fauna. It preserves the diversity of animals and plants in the Pyrenean mountains at its finest. Tourists can explore this wilderness gemstone by themselves or by taking part in the guided thematic eco-tour routes, which focus on different natural aspects of the park – ancient forest, birds, insects, soils, etc.

Madriu-Perafita-Claror Natural Park

Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley is listed as a part of UNESCO World Heritage and is therefore very popular destination among visitors from all around the world. This huge Valley occupies around 10% of Andorra’s entire territory. Its network of various hiking paths, numerous mountain huts and renovated shepherd cabins give the tourists a lot of options for discovering different picturesque routes.

Vallnord Bike Park

Vallnord Bike Park is one of the most spectacular places for mountain bike riding in the southern European region. Those of you who are interested in this sport have most probably heard of it because it hosts some major international bike events and competitions. This bike park has a variety of 29 circuits, suitable for both beginners and professionals. Bikers can take advantage of 3 different lifts, numerous jumps, bridges, bumps, and other obstacles, as well as a professional biking school.
