If you enjoy the beauty of unspoilt nature by day but prefer your creature comforts at night...try Glamping!


Here are some different glamping alternatives across Scotland, all of these destinations are under 4 hours drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow and offer warm and dry accommodation, many with en suite facilities - which let's be honest can be very welcome if the weather is not on your side.

1) Eriskay Glamping Pods - Aviemore, Highlands.
En-suite pods, set in the surroundings of the Cairngorm National Park. Suitable for two people (including children) on a double or twin configuration. It's ideal for couples and friends alike. Linen and towels are supplied.The pods are all heated with an en-suite wet room, TV with DVD, iPod dock station with Bluetooth and tea/coffee facilities.

2) Ben Lomond Yurt - Trossachs, Stirling.
Situated in a family style camp, the Kyrgyk designed yurts are warm and cosy.
Thick rugs, felt wall-hangings and wood-burning stoves add touches of comfort during your stay.
Suitable for up to 5 guests, it is the perfect base for exploring nearby Loch Lomond.

3) Glamness Luxury Containers - Inverness, Highlands.
The Luxury Shipping Containers are designed to a very high standard for adults only.

4) Loch Katrine Eco Lodges
Overlooking the picturesque Loch and Ben Venue, there are 8 lodges to choose from. (There is also space for campers with tents). Divided into Lochs, Bens and Glens  - Loch's have ensuite facilities, Bens don't and Glens have private WC with HWB. Most sleep families up to 4, not all allow dogs and some have wheelchair access. There is a great cafe / takeaway nearby.
