Most Romantic Restaurants in Malaga

more than a year ago
You don’t need us to tell you that Málaga is a romantic sort of place. The sparkling Mediterranean provides a simply stunning backdrop to that Spanish charm, creating an atmosphere that is tailor-made for stolen glances and first kisses. The city has a great selection of romantic restaurants, perfect for first dates or rekindling those fires.

Parador de Gibralfaro

Restaurant views don’t come much more extravagant than this. Situated on Gibralfaro hill in the grounds of the castle, a visit to Parador is well worth the trek. A night in the hotel will set you back a pretty penny, but there is no culinary experience in Málaga more romantic than a sunset dinner at this marvellous restaurant.

L'experience

A real gourmet experience this, although we did promise not to use the ‘e’ word in this review. Whoops! The location is simply stunning; what could be better than fine dining with unbeatable views of the famous Málaga Cathedral? The prices reflect that, but this is a once in a lifetime culinary opportunity.

Beluga

We’re sure there is a whale pun in here somewhere. A colourful restaurant in the heart of this most colourful city, Beluga focuses on local ingredients to create some sumptuous dishes, the spirit and soul of Málaga delivered from the kitchen to your table. The food is Mediterranean to the core, but don’t be shocked to see little bits of unorthodox creativity find its way onto the menu.

Vino Mio

Vino Mio claims to have the best restaurant terrace in Málaga, and we’ll leave that up to you to decide. What we do know is that the menu is full of contemporary cuisine that is fantastically prepared by folk who know what they are doing, with dishes doffing the cap at both local and international concoctions. And okay, that terrace is pretty delightful. Keep an eye on the website for news of flamenco shows for that full Andalusian experience.

El Pimpi

El Pimpi is a Málaga institution. Found in an 18th century mansion next to the Roman Theatre, this hugely popular restaurant is all traditional Spanish decor and history you can practically taste. El Pimpi has been serving traditional food since 1971 after all. The name comes from a traditional local character, if you were wondering.
