Linking the Year of Wyspiański (2017) and the Year of Independence (2018), this special project will bring one of Stanisław Wyspiański's most ambitious designs to fruition for the first time, 115 years later. Originally designed by Wyspiański during the years 1894-1904 at the request of the Lviv Cathedral, 'Polonia' was never fully realised by its creator. Piotr Ostrowski, the artistic director of Kraków's historic stained glass studio and museum will now take on the special task of finishing this long lost project for the public by mid December 2019.
