Famous for his expressive métiers d'art which is characterised by spot-colouring, Ivan Perak is an artist who breaks down visual form and creates abstract optical sensations, with the use of layered application of high-intensity colour. As such, his paintings are predominantly authentic colour experiments with a little connection to the famed Dubrovnik colourist tradition.
