K.E. von Baer Museum

One of Tartu’s better known heroes is professor Karl Ernst von Baer (1792 - 1876) a founder of modern embryology. His portrait graced the Estonian 2-kroon note (these days found mostly only in museums and sock drawers). His former office/library is on display in this two-room museum.
