Cultural heritage is essential in building self determination and supporting the structure of local communities. It contributes greatly to the quality of citizen's life. But its existence is not given - by denying Poland's right to self-determination, the occupants destroyed major part of Polish cultural heritage. The precious remainder needs to be nourished and protected. The exhibition's curators bring an audience simultaneously destruction images and hopeful reconstruction images. The reconstruction process never ends, constituting an ongoing cultural renewal process.
