Tempelhof Airport- Guided Tours

One of the 20th century’s great pieces of ideological architecture, Tempelhof Airport has seen it all. The building itself began life as Nazi ideology in airport form, and it served as a production site for weaponry during World War II. Everything changed after the war as Tempelhof became a symbol of freedom, famously taking centre stage during the Berlin Airlifts of 1948/49. Today? Well, it is the Tempelhof in memory form, although the vastness of this place is still awesome. The best way to engage and experience the history of this iconic spot is through an official guided tour, telling the secret story behind Tempelhof Airport. The tour takes two hours and runs at 13:30 from Thursday to Sunday. Bring sturdy shoes, because there is plenty of walking to be done.
