This spectacularly modern, multi-function music hall, opened in 2004, can hold an audience of 1,900. Its massive new Kuhn organ has over 4,500 pipes. Built on the site of the previous municipal auditoriums in the middle of the city park, it’s where Esseners have gathered for cultural events since 1864. Michael Kaufmann is the current music director.
