Hofbräuhaus


The Hofbräuhaus beerhall and brewery were founded in 1589 by Duke Wilhelm V and were exclusively for the royal court, hence the crown in its logo. It later became state run in 1939. The Hofbräuhaus beerhall (see Brew houses) is more famous than the beer itself and is one of the most-visited tourist sights in Germany.
