The al fresco option is set up in the sunlit terrace area named 400 Degrees and hosts a Hendricks Gin Bar and a state-of-the-art pizza oven serving up authentic Neapolitan-style pizza using Chef De Angeli’s signature slow-fermented dough. You’re in store for some delectable bubble-crusted pizzas generously laden with mozzarella for that Instagramable cheese pull. Not to mention, a wonderfully eclectic mix of toppings: the Porchetta (spicy pork loin and shoulder, chilli honey, fennel and salsa verde) and the Mortadella (Italian sandwich meat, green olives, red onion, mascarpone and rocket) are two standouts.
There’s also a range of antipasti, pastas and risottos as well as ‘fire-cooked’ fillet, chicken, picanha and line fish from the pizza oven. It’s a great spot for after-work drinks, a quick casual work lunch or a laid-back dinner. The location is easily accessible, just up from the Everard Read Gallery and Keyes Avenue.
400 Degrees at Clico is open from 12:00 – 21:00 daily. It's not necessary to book.
