See some of the city's best crafters in action at the Bryanston Organic Market's Crafts Alive festival. Watch demonstrations of metal forging, pottery making, wool spinning, machine leather work, glass bead making, wood and stone sculpting, stained glass painting, embroidery, shoe making, paper quilling and other crafts at Joburg's oldest art and craft market and learn first hand about the traditional crafting methods which the market's talented artisans are helping keep alive.

There is also a full programme of children’s crafting activities that includes candle making, T-shirt painting, wool felting and bead and wire work, as well as a puppet show The Magic Pancake at 11:00 each day of the festival plus a special Easter-themed Funtastic Arts and Crafts area where kids can make their own Easter gifts and decorations (craft activities start from R30).

And of course as ever there's a super choice of food stalls to look forward to, all of which specialise in delicious organic, ethically sourced homemade food.
