Specialising in print work as multiples and editions, as well as unique works by leading South African artists, David Krut is also a specialist art book publisher. David Krut Projects has three Joburg venues; a gallery space at 142 Jan Smuts Avenue in Parkwood, 'The Blue House' building on the opposite side of the street which has an art gallery space and the David Krut Bookstore and the David Krut Workshop at Arts on Main where they specialise in the techniques of intaglio, relief and monotype printing for local and international artists, including William Kentridge whose art studio is just a few doors away.
Every month David Krut presents a rich programme of exhibitions, print workshops, talks and demonstrations and in light of the current lockdown, they are innovating and taking these online.

The new Do-It-At-Home art activities series is led by artists and master printmakers from David Krut Projects and is designed to be able to done at home with easy to follow step-by-step photos and simple materials.

He'll be talking about different papers, carving tools and registration techniques and ink and explaining what a linocut is, how relief and intaglio printing works, as well demonstrating different mark making, carving and printing techniques.
