The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra's popular World Symphony Series returns to the Linder Auditorium for its Early Spring Season from August 21 to September 13, presenting an exciting four week season of ten classical concerts that see the orchestra collaborating with leading local and international guest conductors and soloists.

Netherlands-born guest conductor Lykele Temmingh leads the orchestra in an exciting third week programme that includes works by Schubert, Rossini and Chopin. For its performance of Frédéric Chopin’s sublime 1829 Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor the orchestra is joined by South Africa's 2019 Standard Bank Young Artist of the Year for Music Megan-Geoffrey Prins, while other masterworks on the programme include Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri Overture and Franz Schubert’s Fifth Symphony.

Programme: L’Italiana in Algeri Overture by Gioachino Rossini, Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor by Frédéric Chopin, Fifth Symphony by Franz Schubert.
