Sat Sep 15 - Nedbank International Polo
The international polo match returns to Joburg's exclusive Inanda Club with a brand new sponsor. At this year's edition of the prestigious international event South Africa take on the victorious Australian team. It should also be noted that club has extremely limited parking, so consider taking an uber. Tickets cost from R150 for general admission and can be booked online here. There is also an option of booking a VIP picnic area with its own table, chairs and umbrellas. You are permitted to bring in your own picnic food but no drinks.

Sep 23 - Africa Polo Open
This annual tournament pits South Africa's best against a polo team from another African country. After a fiercely contested match against Kenya last year, which eventually saw South Africa take the trophy, this year's opponents are Nigeria. Adding further excitement to events is a ladies polo match between the two countries. Takes place at Rosefield Polo Club in Centurion. Tickets cost R350 for the picnic area or R3,500 for a space in the exclusive lounge. Tickets can be booked online here.

Oct 27 - Playing for Pink Ladies Invitational
Joburg's Inanda Polo Club hosts the Playing for Pink Ladies Invitational Polo, which is a fundraiser for breast cancer patients and survivors held as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Now in its fourth year, the event is especially known for its high fashion and upmarket pop-up stores and a focus on all things luxury. There are cocktails on arrival followed by a decadent high tea and guests can also book a pampering session at the pop-up beauty salon. Following the day's action on the pitch there's also a glamorous after-party with live performances. Tickets R800, plus R200 for the official after-party.
