One of the largest art collections in Southern Africa, the Wits Art Museum is now home to over 12,000 historical, modern and contemporary African artworks, although only a small portion of these are available to view at a time. This highlights exhibition brings together a curated selection of WAM’s newest acquisitions sourced between 2016 to 2018. Inherently diverse, the exhibition includes everything from carved figures and finely-woven raffia tribute mats from the DRC to contemporary art by award-winning artist and visual anthropologist Moshekwa Langa.
