Jacksons Eatery and Real Food Market

  300 Bryanston Dr, Bryanston ,   Sandton          +27 11 463 1598     more than a year ago
This impressive whole food store and eatery with a great outdoor deck and view over Bryanston’s trees is the second iteration of Jacksons which started out as a small corner store across the road. The founder Gary Jackson has made it his business to seek out South Africa’s best artisan food producers, butchers and bakers.

The emphasis is on ‘Real Food’, fresh and tasty food produced with consideration for the environment and offering high nutritional value. At the store you’ll find a wide range of organic products, grass-fed meats and dairy products from pasture-raised animals. No chemicals or additives. Jacksons prides itself on supporting ‘honest, old-fashioned, organic and biodynamic principles and ethos’.

Whether you are looking for tofu or mouth-watering almond croissants, excellent coffee from Cape Town-based Origin or vegetarian cheeses, the range of foods at Jacksons is excellent. For any fans of the US store Trader Joe’s this is a South African equivalent. Stay for breakfast or lunch and enjoy The Grazer, a 100% pure grass-fed beef burger served on a low-carb bun, with gherkins, red onion, and melted german emmentaler or the Green Acai breakfast bowl filled with Greek yogurt, acai berry powder, banana, spinach, mango, seasonal fruit, low carb & low sugar granola and honey. With meat, vegetarian and vegan options the whole family will be kept happy. There’s also a super range of smoothies and fresh juices to choose from.
