This year, the ninth edition of Nirox Sculpture Park's annual jazz concert Jazz in the Cradle presents "Crafting New Rooted Rhythms", a celebration of the new styles of jazz created by South Africa's young jazz innovators. The concert line-up is packed with exciting local jazz collectives including Soul Housing Project, Mandla Mlangeni and Friends, Ziza Muftic and The Shapeshifting Trio.

In addition to the music, the festival also includes an Epicurean Emporium where boutique wines and gourmet foods are on sale throughout the day from some of Joburg's most popular restaurants and food trucks including Che Argentinian Grill, Birdz Rotisserie, Li Kitchen, Sushi Bus, Leafy Greens Café and the Johannesburg Culinary & Pastry School.
