Founded as a platform to promote local artists, designers, and artisanal food producers based in the pretty suburb of Linden, this market has now become one of Joburg's most popular, with the increase in size and popularity prompting the market to move down the road to the monthly Linden Market at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens in Emmarentia. This year the market's annual Christmas edition is taking place over two days and features more than 160 local artisans and food and drinks traders. A lovely place to shop with pop-up bubbly and cocktail bars, live music and the opportunity to take a dog from the local shelter for a walk in the park at the 'date a dog' stand.
The market is open 09:00–16:00 on Sat Nov 30 and Sun Dec 1.
