Hosted by James Findlay, one of South Africa's foremost book traders and a legend amongst Joburg’s book collectors, the Johannesburg Collectable Book Faire takes over the historic Rand Club and Findlay’s expansive store for a full day of bibliophile bliss with a host of collectable book traders selling their most interesting collections. Among the many treasures on sale are antique maps, posters from South Africa's struggle era, first edition books, antique postcards and documents and collectable travel and exploration books.  This is also a fantastic opportunity to explore the grand interiors of the historic Rand Club building which are normally only open to members.

Look out for an interesting programme of events running alongside the fair that includes a series of talks taking place in the Armoury, a guided tour of the Rand Club,  storytelling by professional storyteller Baeletsi Tsatsi from Bridge Books from and the option of High Tea and opera served in the club's Milner Lounge after the fair.

The Johannesburg Collectable Book Faire talks and tours programme runs as follows:
09:30 Talk:  Richard Welch - Aspects of Book Collecting, in The Armoury.
10:00 Talk: Roger Stewart - The Restoration of Antique Maps, in The Armoury.
11:00 Tour of The Club with Joburg Heritage.
11:30 Talk: Mark Inman - Collecting Africana, in The Armoury.
