Visual artist, photographer and Market Photo Workshop alumni Lebohang Kganye presents her latest exhibition Tell Tale, which is inspired by the people and stories of the Karoo region and by the works of award-winning South African playwright Athol Fugard (whose latest play The Train Driver is currently showing at The Market Theatre).

Kganye travelled to Fugard's adopted home town of Nieu Bethesda in the Karoo to unpack the mysteries surrounding the infamous 'Owl House' and its eccentric artist creator Helen Martins, accompanied by legendary South African photographer Cedric Nunn. In Tell Tale, she merges Fugard’s love for the Karoo and its mysteries with the story of Martins’ astonishing Owl House, exploring the bonds that bind the region’s inhabitants to its collective truths, fictions and mythologies.
