Pablo Eggs Go Bar

  2 7th St, Melville ,   Melville          +27 63 335 9348     16 Jan 2020
This art deco-inspired restaurant on Melville's 7th Street is a shrine to the free-range egg, and you'll probably encounter a waiting list if you venture there on weekends. Take a book to read while you wait :). It will be worth it.
Pablo Eggs Go Bar serves up eggs just about any way you like them — all day.  Poached, boiled, scrambled or, our favourite, prepared as a green or red Shakshuka (Middle Eastern-style) with hummus and chopped salad. The accompaniment of Yemeni flatbread is worth the visit alone, rich, layered and buttery the way nature intended.

There's a good selection of fresh juices and if you need a pick-me-up the Bloody Mary is a breakfast menu staple. It may have something to do with Pablo's rock musician owner who discovered a talent for making breakfast at home for the love of his life and decided to turn it into an art. We are so pleased he did.

The restaurant is a sister to Pablo House — a chic boutique hotel — a few blocks away, perched high atop a ridge with awe-inspiring views.
