01 Oct 2018
created 17 Sep 2018
It's the start of spring, and what better way to celebrate the warmer and longer days than with a picnic? Take advantage of Joburg's abundance of beautiful parks and pack your basket with goodies from a local deli. Or alternatively, forget the hassle of planning your own picnic and let somebody else do the hard work by joining in one of this season's festive gourmet picnics and harvest table lunches. Here's our guide to some of the best.

A suburban Shangri-La in the middle of Joburg, the ultra-luxe Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff is also home to the Westcliff Deli, a stylish deli and the inventor of the Four Seasons Chicnic, a luxury picnic basket takeaway. Choose between three sharing picnic basket options ranging from the classic Jozi Chicnic, which includes a bottle of wine and homemade chocolate brownies, to the Deluxe Chicnic which includes champagne and chocolate strawberries with chantilly cream.
