Soweto-born documentary maker Lebogang Rasethaba follows up his critically-acclaimed 2016 documentary The People vs The Rainbow Nation with his newest project The People vs Patriarchy.
Weighing in on one of society’s currently most-talked-about issues, the film explores the ways in which patriarchy impacts on the daily lives of South Africans, featuring thoughts and experiences from everyday individuals and high-profile celebrities alike. Some of the more famous commentators featured in The People vs Patriarchy include musician and actor Nakhane Toure (best known for his lead role in controversial drama Inxeba), poet, activist and feminist Lebohang Masango and transmodel and artist Elle van der Burg.
