This unusual bar is located inside an old bank vault underneath the graceful Edwardian Somerset House building on Gandhi Square in Joburg's City Centre. It is the first stage of a major redevelopment of the entire building which will see a café-restaurant and boutique hotel move into the elegant arcade upstairs. After descending the steep stairs beyond an unassuming side street door you find yourself in an underground lair filled with old safes and more than 1000 unopened safety deposit boxes.
