Juwenalia is definitely an event one should not miss! This annual holiday for Polish university students is usually celebrated in May, before the summer exams. The tradition of celebrating Juwenalia goes all the way back to the 15th century in Kraków and it involves three days of fun, filled with concerts, parties and, yes, copious amounts of alcohol. It customarily begins with a triumphant parade of outrageously costumed students marching from their college campuses to the city's Main Square (Rynek) and on to Plac Szczepański, where in a symbolic gesture, the president of Kraków will hand the keys to the city's gates to the students. Expect student mayhem, marching bands and photo ops galore.

The parade begins on the AGH campus, at the parking lot on ul. Budyka at 10:00, then follow the route through Reymonta, Czysta, Dolnych Młynów, Krupnicza, Loterańska, Studencka and Św. Anny to the Main Square, arriving at Plac Szczepański around 11:00. More info about all this year's Juwenalia events, including dozens of concerts and parties, can be found here.
