Katowice’s antique Fotoplastikon (known as a ‘Kaiserpanorama’ in English) presents visitors with the cutting edge 3D technology of the 19th century - rotating stereoscopic images viewed through a pair of lenses to create a 3D effect. The series of images in this exhibit is united around the theme of a child’s world, which is depicted in these late 19th century images as one of wonder, idealism, lightheartedness and never-ending fun and adventure.
