Jerzy Maksymiuk - the 80th Anniversary of Krzysztof Jakowicz birth

Jerzy Maksymiuk leads Max Bruch's Violin Concerto No.1,  greatly admired for its lyrical melodies, and Igor Stravinsky's Petrouchka Ballet Suite,  the story of a Russian traditional puppet who comes to life. The concert is the celebration of the 80th birthday anniversary of Krzysztof Jakowicz, virtuoso violinist who joins the orchestra as soloist. The conductor of the concert, Jerzy Maksymiuk, was in the past the chief conductor of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Kraków Philharmonic and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. He conducted BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Philharmonic and the London Symphony Orchestra among many others.
