Katowickie Beboki in the Photography of Marek Foltyn presents the charming world of beboks — small sculptures inspired by folk beliefs, created by artist Grzegorz Chudy. Scattered across Katowice since 2021, each figure reflects its location’s character. Foltyn's photographs offer a new perspective, magnifying the sculptures’ intricate details. The beloved Sztefa and Erwinek, figures linked to local legends, feature prominently. The exhibition was born from the desire to share these whimsical city guardians with those unable to explore Katowice. Through Foltyn’s lens, visitors can experience the magic, personality, and artistry of the beboks up close.
