Thomas Vossbeck's photographic exhibition aims at showing a different image of Upper Silesia. Traditionally perceived as a solely industrial area, littered with coal mines, steelworks and factories, on photographs taken from the plane by the German photographer the region turns out to be home to  villages which date back to the Middle Ages,  manor houses that used to be owned by a local nobility and picturesque villages. The photographs include both Polish and Czech part of Upper Silesia.
