One-act sad story for the entire family.

The main character of the story is Janusz Korczak. He is a doctor and educator, who became a silent hero by taking care of orphans during the World War II. In 1908 Korczak (the nickname of Henryk Goldszmit) got into a charity organization “Help the Orphans” and became the director and the good angel of Dom Sierot (Orphans’ House). Orphans’ House together with Korczak and his associates was moved to Ghetto during the World War II. His former Polish pupils and colleagues arranged a few escape plans, however, every time he refused. He stayed in order to hide the truth by looking to them with devotion and love and willingly hoped to convince the children until the end that they were going to the countryside… Only parents of a dying child are capable to tell things in a such way. Janusz Korczak, along with children and associates, was killed in a gass chamber upon their arrival at Treblinka.
