Dark East | Images from Kurdistan

Thursday Oct 10 - Sunday Nov 3       Rynek Główny 25
share
This exhibition in the cellars of the ICC consists of twenty-four images and video material created by Iraqi artist, Ahmad Nabaz. His work reflects the contemporary Kurdish struggle for the right to self-determination. Kurdistan, once the cradle of great civilizations, is currently the site of rampant religious fanaticism, political extremism, and brutal conflict. The artist devotes a lot of attention to the fate of Middle Eastern women in his paintings, collages, graphics, and performances.
