The exhibition presents the works of eight artists, former prisoners of Oranienburg and Sachsenhausen concentration camps - Jan Budding (Netherlands), Peter Edl, Hans Grundig (Germany), Leo Haas, Vladimir Matějko, Karel Zahrádka (Czech Republic), Wiktor Simiński (Poland) and Rudolf Carl von Ripper (Austria). The artists' oeuvre includes works created before, during, and after the war. The artworks are part of the extensive collection of art created by the prisoners of both camps, which up to this point was treated solely as documentary material rather than art.
