[closed] Meat & Go

ul. Dolnych Młynów 10 ,   Old Town         more than a year ago

After a brief stint as a Plac Nowy food hatch, Kraków's best sandwich has found a permanent (and perfectly appropriate) home at Tytano. This self-described 'meat bar' quickly serves the most tender and delicious deli cuts we've tasted anywhere. Their signature porchetta is a revelation, but the new menu extends across a dozen other miracles including pulled pork, jerk pork, pastrami and their new 'cuban' - ensuring many salivating return visits. Despite the somewhat banal name, Meat & Go doesn't present itself as some kind of caveman lifestyle club like some meat-loving venues; rather this is a humble family business with a simple interior of big communal tables mounted on machine parts with warm orbs of light hanging over them. If you think a sandwich isn't worth 20+ PLN, this place will change your mind.

THANK YOU for this recommendation. We ate a lot of good food on our trip to Poland, but this was some of the best. The slow-roasted pork rivals any of the best we've had in our hometown in BBQ country North Carolina, USA. And the Reuben will now be the Reuben to which all future Reubens I eat will be compared. I am drooling just thinking about the perfectly peppered pastrami. We probably would not have found Meat & Go if it wasn't for your guide, so thanks again!

Holy hell, their new Cuban sandwich is the best damn sandwich we've had in PL. We were literally moaning between bites.
