This exhibit at the Main Building of the Kraków National Building opens and explores the debate of whether Poland had a 'national style' distinct from historicism, Art Nouveau and other art movements in Europe at the turn of the 20th century. If so, then what informed it? Consisting of five parts, the exhibit looks at the Polish national costume of the time, Zakopane style, Hutsulshchyna folk art, the national style promoted by the Polish Applied Arts Society, and the significance of the Exhibition of Architecture & Interiors held in Kraków in 1912. How does Esperanto fit into this? Find out by visiting the exhibit...
