Some things don't just have to break—they have to break through. In order for some things to change, they first must be destroyed. The aim behind Something Must Break is to demonstrate the process of building, demolishing, and re-building can also be applied to a musical context. Brought to you by the same people behind OFF Festival, this ambitious and outside-your-comfort-zone project brings artists to the stage who are unconventional in their approach and are known to go "off the grid" in their musical styles. Something Must Break is not just a philosophical statement about life itself, it's a challenge to the audience to accept different art forms. This time around Something Must Break project presents Algiers, an American rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. The band pulls from a divergent number of musical and other influences, among them post-punk, gospel, Southern Gothic literature and the concept of the Other. Their music, often described as dystopian, is meant to be a response to the darkest aspects of today's reality.
