Every bar in town serves craft beer these days, but this is the official taphouse of Kraków's own Browar Twigg - a microbrewery based in Nowa Huta. While it's a bit of a shame they didn't have the good faith to stay in the neighbourhood, you can't argue that this stellar location on Bracka doesn't give them significantly bigger exposure. In fact, they sure seem to be aiming for the ex-pat and Erasmus crowd with a classic low-key pub atmosphere, Wednesday quiz nights in English (starts at 20:30), football on the tube and a classic 80-90s pub rock soundtrack. Despite some spiffy space-themed graphics, it's a bit lazily decorated, but the exciting menu of pub grub - including fish and chips, Australian sausage rolls, nachos, chilli and meat pies - is a major draw. Full disclosure, we've got mixed feelings about their brews (we recommend the orange milk stout over their IPAs), but give it a try if you want to try some strictly local brews.
