The flagship bar behind Kraków's own Pracownia Piwa brewery (located in Modlniczka just northwest of the centre and now open to the public for food and drinks), Tap House has reopened right on the market square inside Pałac Pod Baranami. Brewing since 2012, Pracownia Piwa offers the best local beer in town, and their new ringside pub - with 12 taps that change frequently - is the only place on the market square serving craft beer to date. Despite being located inside a palace with several exquisite architectural details, the vast interior is quite understated, with creme-coloured walls and wooden tables that evoke a classic beer hall atmosphere; the best feature however, is probably the lovely seasonal courtyard garden. In addition to outstanding beer, there's also a full menu of delicious pub grub, including pulled pork and baked goat cheese. For locals who haven't gone to the market square for a beer in years, the prospect of returning is exciting; for tourists who will be on the square anyway, don't miss this opportunity to support local beer culture.
