This exhibit at the National Museum examines Polish Design after the fall of the communist regime. How did designers respond to the freedom of expression and budding capitalism of the 1990s? On a local level, what visible influence does post-communism have on their work, and on a more global level, what about the influence of post-modernism? How did Polish artists participate in international trends, and how did they strive to create an inherently Polish aesthetic? These questions and more will be addressed in this exhibit full of functional and graphic works.
