Hidden from view in an odd Kazimierz passageway between ul. Dietla and Miodowa, with no signs indicating its existence, Wschód is like the culinary equivalent of a speakeasy. If you're lucky enough to snatch a table inside the casual, urban interior of unfinished concrete walls lined with cables, you'll also catch the palpable buzz of the patrons excitedly discovering new tastes. This little eatery serves Far East Asian street food with flair - Sichuan wontons, Peking shredded pork (delicious), Banh mi (also known as Vietnamese hoagies) and much more - as well as Asian-inspired cocktails and wine. Much of the food is vegan, and Wschód encourages sharing and ordering multiple dishes, even creating popular tasting sets for groups of 2-7 people. Get in.
