Ljubljana named 3rd best city to live in!

01 Aug 2017

According to the 2010 Quality of Living survey released by Mercer, a well-known international consultancy firm, the Slovene capital Ljubljana is the third best Eastern European city to live in, trailing only Prague and Budapest by the slimmest of margins. Despite the fact the Slovenia is geographically located squarely in Central (if not Western) Europe, and has always been culturally and politically closer to Vienna and Paris than Moscow, this is still quite an accomplishment. Read more about the goal of the newly re-elected mayor of Ljubljana, Zoran Janković, to move the city up the list over the next four years in our exclusive interview here.

Too bad all Top 3 cities aren't in Eastern Europe. We have Central America Central Asia and the Middle East. Is too difficult for people to wrap their tiny heads around Central Europe?!?

Tanya - MontrealI visited Slovenia in october 2010. It is by far one of the best cities in my book. It has everything you want or need at close proximity and the people are very friendly. I would go back in a hearbeat :)

Great news! Ljubljana is one of my most favourite cities. Having lived in it for nearly four years I know it well! Can't wait to come back and live there again.
